Weaving - Students will learn the basics of setting up a loom and weaving patterns, as well as the vocabulary of weaving. Appropriate for beginning and intermediate students.

The Basics of Silver - This six week session will focus on basic soldering techniques. Get over your fear of repetition. As you become comfortable with a particular technique, you will then apply that to a piece. This class is not for the repair of purchased jewelry.

Lapidary - Students will learn how to cut and polish semi-precious stones as well as learning about the origin of the stones, the vocabulary of lapidary, and the basics of design.

Coffee & Clay - An informal class where students work on projects of their own choice. All levels of experience are invited. Instruction and/or guidance will be available if needed. Projects can be hand built, wheel work or sculpted.

Tricks and Techniques in Silver - A modern approach to the ancient process of Lost Wax Casting. Students will create models in wax, which will then be invested, burned out and cast into metal. They will experiment with various methods to create waxes and learn how to finish the castings.

Beginning Quilting - The basics of quilting – choosing and preparing fabric, use of the rotary cutter, the ¼” seam, piecing the top, and putting together the quilted piece – will all be covered while students make a log cabin table runner.

Beginning & Intermediate Wheel - (Jim Cullen) This course is designed for the beginner as well as the intermediate who wants to learn new techniques or brush up on their throwing skills. The class will focus on throwing on the potter’s wheel. Basic shapes will be studied, pieces will be bisque fired and glazed. Glazed pieces will be fired and then critiqued by the class.

Woodturning - Starting with rough logs or precut blanks, students will learn how to use a small lathe and the necessary tools to make several wooden bowls. Students with some experience may advance their skills making bowls with natural edges or texturing.

Raku Pottery - Students will learn a variety of techniques to produce clay beads and pendants using simple tools and imagination. Beads will be bisque fired prior to glazing and then fired in a propane fueled raku kiln to 1,800 degrees. The red-hot pieces are then pulled from the kiln and smoked and reduced in newspaper, leaves or straw. Be a part of this unpredictable and enjoyable process.

Stained Glass - Beginning students will learn cutting techniques, how to apply copper foil and basic soldering. They will complete an 8” hanging suncatcher. Returning students can improve their basic skills while working on the same project or one similar in size and complexity.

Beginning Scrollsaw - This class is an introduction to the scroll saw including parts of the saw, use of the blades, and the fine points of making cuts. Projects will be determined at the first class.

Beginning & Intermediate Wheel - (Andrew Stephenson) Students will explore the early stages of making a pot, including centering, making a basic cylinder, and a basic bowl. They will also study form and what works, what doesn’t and why. Basically have fun and take home a mug or bowl that you made yourself.

Clay for Adult & Child - Where an adult and child will have the opportunity to enjoy working together with clay while exploring pottery. Students will experience pinch pot construction, coil built, slab construction and wheel work, as well as glazing and decorating techniques.

Woodcarving - Students will learn the basic V-cut, stock cut, depth control and control of the carving tools. They will study scale, size and anatomy.
